This summer, swap your streaming subscription for a Finland-by-train subscription.

VR invites true binge-watchers to trade screens for adventure - the fastest participants will unlock endless experiences and travel unlimited for a month at the price of a streaming service.

How to participate

Campaign tickets go on sale on May 29 at 10:00 AM EET.

The number of tickets is limited, and they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. To participate, answer a short survey about your binge habits and leave your contact information. You can access the survey on the campaign site during the participation period.

The fastest respondents will get a 30-day Holiday Ticket for the price of a streaming service: €9.90 (normally €369). If you manage to secure a discounted Holiday Ticket, you will receive a confirmation by email. After that, you can purchase the discounted Holiday Ticket in the VR Matkalla app using your user account.

To participate, you need a valid VR user account. You can check if your user account is valid by logging onto your VR account on vr.fi or the VR Matkalla app. If you don't have an account, you can create one on our website.

You must have the VR Matkalla app to use the ticket. The ticket allows unlimited travel on VR trains for 30 consecutive days during the Holiday Ticket travel period from June 1 to August 31.

With the pass, you can travel unlimited on VR trains for 30 consecutive days.
Where can I find places to binge?
Finland is full of interesting destinations, with plenty of binge-worthy experiences across many genres. You can find inspiration for your trips on VR's website, where travel recommendations for domestic destinations have been collected for all kinds of tastes.
Why is VR running the Binge Finland campaign?
People are spending more and more of their free time at home in front of screens. With the Binge Finland summer campaign, VR wants to encourage people to binge Finland instead of TV series and experience destinations around the country. Summer vacation is an opportunity to experience the Finnish summer with all your senses.
How can I participate in the campaign?
You can participate by filling out a short form on the campaign page, answering questions about your bingeing habits, and leaving your contact details. To participate, you need a valid VR user account. The email address you use as your contact information must be the same as the one used in the VR Matkalla app.

If you manage to secure a discounted Holiday Ticket, you will receive a confirmation by email within a few business days. After that, you can purchase the discounted Holiday Ticket in the VR Matkalla app using your personal user account.
Can I buy more than one campaign ticket? Can I participate more than once?
Campaign tickets are limited to one per user ID throughout the campaign period. So if you're successful in getting a campaign ticket, you cannot take part in the campaign again using the same user ID.
What is the campaign period?
The campaign tickets become available on May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM EET. A limited number of campaign tickets are available and will be given to the fastest participants.
What is the Holiday Ticket? How does it work?
The Holiday Ticket is a VR ticket product that allows unlimited travel on VR trains throughout Finland for consecutive days during the validity period specified on the ticket. The pass is valid for a period of 30 consecutive days of your choice between June 1 and August 31, 2026.
Which routes can I travel with the Holiday Ticket?
With the Holiday Ticket, you can travel on any VR local or long-distance train route within Finland during the validity period, covering more than 200 destinations.
Can I make several trips per day with the Holiday Ticket?
Yes. The Holiday Ticket allows unlimited travel during its validity period.
What is the normal price of the Holiday Ticket? What about the campaign price?
The normal price of an adult's 30-day Holiday Ticket is €369. In the campaign, the fastest participants can get the pass for €9.90, the average monthly price of a streaming service.
Can the Holiday Ticket be shared with another person?
No. The Holiday Ticket is personal and cannot be transferred to another person.
